If your home is only 40m2 and you need to install a mini elevator that's sufficient for family use but at a low cost.
THANGMAYNIDEC introduces a mini elevator model with the smallest dimensions of only 850mm x 1000mm, a load capacity of 150kg - 200kg, suitable for 1-2 people, and an installation cost not exceeding 350 million VND. Let's find out more!
What is the smallest mini elevator with a 150kg capacity? Can it be installed in a renovated house of 40m² or less?
Unlike standard home elevators, the smallest mini elevators are specifically designed for installation in 3-7 story houses with limited space in large cities. The unique feature of this type of elevator is that a width of just 850mm is sufficient for installation.
Designed to be compact, space-saving, and minimize the need for additional structures or deep pit excavation, we have eliminated unnecessary and space-consuming details and simplified the structure for family use while still prioritizing user safety.
Can a small mini elevator (with a capacity of 150kg) be installed in a renovated house of 40m2?
Absolutely! For a house with an area of 40m² , the smallest mini elevator, measuring 850mm x 1000mm, is the most suitable for installation. More accurately, we created this elevator line specifically for renovated houses with such small areas.

Advantages and Disadvantages of the Smallest Mini Elevators?
Like other types of elevators, these two types also have different advantages and disadvantages. Depending on your family's needs, you can decide which type is most suitable.
1. Ultra-Compact Cable-Driven Elevator
- Advantages: Low cost, shallow pit, and an area of only 0.9m² make it easy to install in narrow spaces such as stairwells or corners, making it very suitable for houses with an area of 40m² or more . This type of cable-driven system also has an aluminum frame and glass walls surrounding the cabin, ensuring user safety.
- Disadvantages: There are no cabin doors; the cabin of this ultra-compact cable elevator only has three sides to optimize the interior space. However, we have equipped it with anti-pinch sensor curtains, so you can rest assured about safety.
2. Hydraulic Backpack Elevator
- Advantages: Cheaper than the smallest cable-driven elevator type by about 50 million VND. Minimum installation area is only 850mm x 1000mm. No pit required or only a shallow pit of 100mm. No counterweight or machine room above required.
- Disadvantages: Because it lacks a surrounding frame, it can be dangerous if installed in multi-story buildings. Since it doesn't have an elevator shaft, this type doesn't meet safety inspection standards and is not recommended for installation. It should only be used in two-story houses, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Why Choose the Smallest Cable-Driven Elevator Model?
We know many homeowners want to buy hydraulic backpack elevators to optimize costs, but are they really safe for your family?
Instead, for just a few tens of millions more, you should choose a cable-driven elevator with a frame to ensure the safety of your entire family during use. Below are the reasons why you should choose the smallest 150kg cable-driven elevator model:
- Only an area of 850mm x 1000mm is needed for installation.
- The Kinetec Elevator motor can support up to 7 floors.
- Ensuring full safety standards for the family.
- Reasonable price, starting from only 300,000,000 VND
- The design is more luxurious than other models with the same load capacity.
- No need for a large OH height.
- Shallow pit 100mm
Things to Consider When Installing the Smallest Mini Elevator in a Renovated House
To avoid errors during the construction and installation of mini glass elevators, or spending a large sum of money on an elevator only to receive unsatisfactory results later, homeowners should pay attention to the following details:
- Ensure sufficient dimensions: The minimum width required for elevator installation is 850mm. If your existing staircase is not wide enough and you cannot find another suitable space, you can opt for a service to cut the existing staircase to expand the staircase area.
- Check the overhead height (OH): Although there are many new technologies such as machine-roomless elevators and flat cable elevators, most mini elevators still require an overhead height of 2600mm, so please note this point with the installation technician to avoid mistakes.
- Prioritize safety over price: Don't be tempted by a few tens of millions of dong in savings and risk your family's safety with an elevator. Instead, choose an elevator model that is both reasonably priced and safe.
- Choose a reputable installation company: Because these ultra-compact mini elevators have different characteristics and structures compared to standard elevators, you shouldn't choose companies specializing in standard models. Instead, choose companies with extensive experience in installing mini elevators for renovated homes; this will help them easily handle difficult situations.
